Microdermabrasion

What Is Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive skin treatment where a diamond tip abrasive applicator is used together with a vacuum to remove the outermost layer of the skin. This clears away old, dead skin cells so that the fresh new skin is exposed.

Microdermabrasion is a great treatment to incorporate into your regular skin care plan as it encourages higher cell turnover and keeps your skin looking fresh and youthful. Multiple treatments with Microdermabrasion will also help to ‘buff out’ the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, scarring and other skin concerns. The treatment can be performed on Face, Neck, Shoulders, Hands

What To Expect

  • An Express Microdermabrasion treatment will take about 20 minutes. You should arrive without make up and you will be positioned comfortably on the treatment bed. The applicator will be moved across the treatment area and the vacuum can be adjusted to suit your comfort level.
  • The 5-Step Microdermabrasion treatment will take between 30-45 minutes and incorporates a Deep Exfoliating Cleanse, A Gentle Enrichment Cleanse, A Prep Toner, Microdermabrasion and a Post-Treatment Nourishing Mask.
  • Your skin may be red for up to 2 hours post treatment and you should avoid sunlight or wearing make up for the rest of the day.
